Reception Teacher

Location: Exeter Contract: Full-time, long-term Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm Start Date: ASAP

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and compassionate Reception Teacher to join a specialist SEND school in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced EYFS or primary teacher who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and creating a positive, nurturing learning environment. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive school team and will play an important role in helping pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The Ideal Candidate

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience teaching within EYFS, Reception or Primary settings
• Previous SEND experience is desirable but not essential
• A good understanding of anxiety, ADHD and ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition)
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach to teaching
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and provide a safe, inclusive learning environment
• A DBS on the Update Service is desirable, but not essential

The Role

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday
• Working hours: 8:30am-4:30pm
• Based in a specialist SEND school in Exeter
• Ideally available to start ASAP
