Quality & Operational Improvement Lead

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Quality & Operational Improvement Lead.

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland
Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our Quality Management System while driving operational excellence across laboratory functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality & Compliance

• Manage and continuously improve our QMS in line with ISO 13485 and ISO 15189
• Lead audits, document control, CAPAs, and management reviews
• Ensure all activities align with regulatory standards and patient safety principles

Operational Efficiency

• Identify and lead LEAN improvement initiatives to optimise lab workflows
• Streamline SOPs, reduce turnaround times, and improve resource utilisation
• Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance

What I am Looking For
Essential:

• Degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. Biomedical Science, Life Sciences) or experience in similarly regulated environments
• Experience in a quality or compliance role within a lab, clinical, or regulated setting
