Project Worker Linx - NI311/12/25/1v-1

Salary: Grade 4 salary scale: £25,559 - £26,071 per annum pro rata

Hours: 8 hours per week (Flexibility Required)

Contract Status: Fixed Term Until 31/03/2026 with possibility of extension

Location: Sketrick House, Jubilee Road, Newtownards BT23 4YH

About the service: The Linx service has the specific purpose of providing support to young people and their families to reduce the likelihood of these young people entering the care system. This includes young people currently in Care placements, and those who have had prior experience, but the overarching care plan is to ensure they return and/or maintain within the family home. The Linx Model includes therapeutic support, crisis intervention, emotional support, advice & guidance, and partnership working to assist service users in addressing the barriers to progression and promote positive family relationships.

About the role: You will work with service users to improve their quality of life within their community by promoting wellbeing, independence, healthy life choices and training & employability options. As well as improving outcomes for their parents/ carers and any other siblings. These families present with varying and complex needs and will include engaging in and participating in overarching statutory care plans. This is multi-disciplinary work which requires an ability to engage partners as well as young people and families. As a Linx worker, one will need to be resilient enough and open-minded to deal with some of the challenges that such complex needs can present.
