Programador full stack based in Lanzarote

Sherwood is a technology startup based in Lanzarote and Dakar, focused on building digital health solutions powered by artificial intelligence. We are currently leading, together with an international consortium, a Horizon Europe-funded 5-year project that will develop an app that through AI will diagnose skin-NTDS in sub-Saharan Africa. Our mission is to create accessible, ethical, and impactful technologies that address global health challenges.

What you'll do

As a Fullstack Web Developer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team developing and improving real-world digital health tools used by healthcare workers across several African countries. Your role will involve:

• Developing and maintaining web interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Contributing to backend development with Node.js.
• Integrating AI models into production environments and web apps.
• Working on data visualization features and mapping tools.
• Writing clean, maintainable code and documentation.
• Participating in bilingual meetings (Spanish/English) with international partners.

️ Requirements

• Basic experience or strong interest in React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Interest in health tech, social impact, and international collaboration.
• Working proficiency in both Spanish and English.
• Living in Lanzarote.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python (especially for data science or AI applications).
• Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox, D3.js).
• Exposure to healthcare, AI, or international development projects.
• Knowledge of agile development practices and version control (Git).
