Job Description

I am recruiting a Procurement and contract manager specifically relating to the categories of Estates and Facilities and where there are Trust-wide implications. Particular focus on formal tendering, further competitions from frameworks and developing expert knowledge of the categories along with aiding the implementation of the organisation's Procurement Strategy.

You will liaise with staff, suppliers and public sector buying organisations (especially category leads) and other Trusts

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years procurement experience gained within the public sector and really enjoy what they do and making a difference to peoples lives.

  • Manage procurement activities from planning through to contract award
  • Develop and issue tenders, RFQs, and ITTs in line with procurement regulations
  • Evaluate supplier bids using defined criteria and ensure a fair processes
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships
  • Monitor contract performance
  • Ensure adherence to public sector procurement policies
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies across spend categories

Experience required

  • Experience in procurement within the public sector
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
