Procurement Excellence Manager

Location: Cheltenham, UK (Hybrid working)

Role Overview:

The Procurement Excellence Lead will play a key role in the strategic procurement organization and transformation. They will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Global Supply Chain (GSC) procurement best practices, processes, digital solutions, reporting, and training.

This role involves driving change and collaborating with global teams to enable sales growth through a sustainable procurement function, fostering strong supplier relationships, cost optimization, and digital innovation.

Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on:
  • Owning, streamlining, and standardizing strategic procurement processes to ensure compliant, ethical, and sustainable sourcing, enhancing procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Managing risks proactively across global locations to ensure business continuity and compliance.
  • Developing processes to improve and measure supplier sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Establishing metrics to monitor procurement performance and success.
  • Sharing best practices, market intelligence, and providing training to enhance procurement skills organization-wide.
  • Leading the implementation of procurement technologies and tools.
  • Managing change and transformation projects, promoting collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Previous experience likely to include:
  • Proven strategic sourcing and global category management experience in a complex, multicultural environment.
  • Experience in developing, standardizing, and implementing global procurement processes.
  • Track record in procurement excellence, change management, and system implementation.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and contracts globally.
Qualifications and skills for success:

  • Relevant qualification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.

  • Proficiency in market analysis and cost management.
