LOCATION: Any major BBC hub (UK based)
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £41,500 - £55,000 per annum, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF ROLEThe Procurement team is repositioning itself to become a strategic enabler for BBC. Procurement Enablement will form a key part in this transformation, delivering enablers for Procurement and its stakeholders.
The Procurement Enablement Manager for data, analytics and insights will play a key part in this, delivering reliable data analytics with insights allowing procurement to deliver on cost optimisation targets. Is the primary expert and manager for all analytics requirements across procurement and key stakeholder groups. Is able to produce insights tailored to the audience and present to senior stakeholders.
Working for the Process Owner for supplier relationship management, the role has the responsibility to deliver data & insights meeting both regular and ad hoc department needs. To identify areas to utilise AI and other new technologies to improve efficiencies, deliver insights and compliance.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
- Accountable for the definition and operational effectiveness of Procurement's data management and analysis across areas including, source to order, procure to pay, category spend and supplier management, sustainability and third party risk management
- Developing and implementing a data strategy focused on driving Procurement's decisions and actions in delivering the BBC's objectives.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders, finance and operational teams to deliver data & analytics requirements and respond to business needs.
- Managing large, complex, disparate data sets
- Designing and delivering advanced Procurement analytics that drive forecasts, market trends, risks and process improvements, within an effective controlled environment.
- Developing and owning data visualisation platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create compelling dashboards and reports to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Collating data and delivering reports against procurement risk controls to drive actionable insights
- Ownership and delivery of KPIs reporting for the Procurement scorecard
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to utilise AI, statistical methods, machine learning, and predictive modelling to uncover actionable insights
- Acting as the subject matter expert within Procurement to evaluate, promote and implement technologies to enhance capabilities and support the production of advanced data management.
- Overseeing data collection, storage, and governance to ensure accuracy, security and compliance.
- Supporting third parties with the delivery of standard reports, ensuring continuous improvement, data accuracy and reliable delivery.
- Managing and developing a Data and Analytics Apprentice, fostering a collaborative and high-performance working environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of procurement data analysis, tools and techniques.
- Experience of leading procurement data analytics, aligning department goals and decision making, with wider organisation principles around spend, risk and sustainability with managerial experience preferred.
- Knowledge of procurement analytics or a related field, with a strong understanding of procurement processes.
- Proven ability in a procurement function, providing data intelligence to deliver commercial benefits.
- Strong background in managing large-scale, complex data environments, as well presenting and preparing insights to senior stakeholders using data visualisation tools to provide real time data analysis.
- Expertise in designing data pipelines and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Ability to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to understand the benefits of combining AI with data management to advance analysis, insights, opportunities, processes and controls.
- A track record of staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in data and analytics.
- Strategic thinking, problem solving and attention to detail
- Proficiency in systems and tools such as SAP ECC 6 and S4 Hana, SAP Ariba, Jaggaer, Dun & Bradstreet, Smartsheet and Data visualisation platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
