Job Description
Process Technician Coordinator

Help deliver high-quality Botanical Drug Product (BDP) safely, consistently and to schedule. As a Process Technician Coordinator, you'll play a hands-on role across manufacturing and packaging while helping colleagues follow robust, compliant processes and identify ways to improve how work gets done.

Overview

We're looking for two Process Technician Coordinators to join a fully onsite team in Sittingbourne on a 12-month, full-time contract. Working within a regulated production environment, you'll support BDP manufacturing and packaging in line with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), health and safety, environmental and quality standards.

The role operates on alternating shifts:

  • One week: 06:00-14:30
  • The following week: 14:00-22:30

You must be able to commit to these shift patterns. Due to the shift times and site location, you'll also need your own car and be able to drive to the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out BDP manufacturing and packaging processes as an initiator and checker, following documented procedures.
  • Deliver production batches against schedule while ensuring product quality is protected.
  • Complete batch documentation, equipment and area logbooks, quality records, deviations, CAPAs, protocols and change controls accurately.
  • Perform routine microbiological testing in the Commercial Manufacturing Suite.
  • Complete cleaning procedures for areas and equipment to cGMP standards.
  • Liaise with supply chain, warehouse, engineering, QC and QA teams on production scheduling.
  • Train and coach new starters and other technicians on processes and manufacturing changes.
  • Identify and implement improvements that support efficiency, quality and cost reduction.
  • Report atypical events and deviations promptly and support safe, compliant working practices.
Must-Have
  • At least one year's experience in a regulated production environment, ideally pharmaceutical, chemical or food manufacturing.
  • Experience of team supervision or leadership in a pharmaceutical or related industry.
  • Good numeracy, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a positive, collaborative approach.
  • Ability to commit to the alternating shift pattern and travel by car to the Sittingbourne site.
Nice-to-Have
  • Pharmaceutical industry qualifications, such as an NVQ or similar.
  • Experience authoring or updating batch documentation, SOPs and associated forms.
  • Experience training colleagues or supporting continuous improvement.

Bring your practical expertise and improvement-focused mindset to a role where quality, safety and teamwork make a direct difference-apply today.
