Commercial Claims Handler

The Opportunity

We're working with a well-established insurance broker in Belfast who is looking to recruit a Commercial Claims Handler to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in insurance claims who is looking to develop their career within a supportive brokerage environment, handling a varied portfolio of commercial claims and providing a high standard of service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial insurance claims from initial notification through to settlement.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, insurers, loss adjusters and other relevant parties.
• Provide regular updates to clients on the progress of claims, ensuring a high level of customer service.
• Liaise with insurers to progress claims efficiently and resolve any issues or delays.
• Maintain accurate claims records and ensure all documentation is up to date.
• Investigate and follow up on outstanding claims, helping to achieve timely and fair settlements.
• Identify and escalate complex claims or potential issues where appropriate.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurer partners.

About You

• Previous experience in insurance claims handling, ideally within a brokerage environment.
• Knowledge of commercial insurance products and claims processes would be advantageous.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple claims and competing priorities.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and confidence dealing with clients and insurers.
