Private Client Tax Manager

Private Client Tax Manager - Advisory Focus City of London (Hybrid) From £65,000 Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting a highly reputable and growing accountancy firm in the recruitment of a Private Client Tax Manager to join their expanding tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experience private client tax professional to take ownership of a large portfolio while playing a key role in team development, advisory and business growth. The role offers significant client exposure alongside the opportunity to contribute strategically to the wider tax function of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a large portfolio of private clients with complex tax affairs
• Provide high-quality tax planning and advisory support
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
• Manage workflow, WIP, billing, and team utilisation
• Lead, mentor, and develop junior members of the tax team
• Support departmental training and technical development initiatives
• Identify business development opportunities and attend networking events
• Contribute to process improvements and implementation of new technologies

Key Requirements

• CTA qualified (non-negotiable) with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualified experience
• Dual qualification ACA/ACCA and CTA is highly advantageous
• Strong private client tax compliance and advisory background
• Experience managing complex client portfolios
• Proven leadership and staff management experience
• Strong technical research and problem-solving skills
• Commercially aware with excellent communication skills
• Experience within an accountancy practice environment essential
