Our client is a highly successful, medium-sized management consultancy, specialising in the Financial Services and General Insurance industries.

This European-headquartered firm delivers advisory and change delivery solutions designed to address important business, process, control, data and technology challenges faced by its clients, and all of its consulting engagement leads are highly experienced practitioners in their specific market sectors.

As a result of ongoing growth, a need has arisen for a Principal (Senior Commercial Director) to specialise within the General Insurance sector. Here, you'll be responsible for relationship and business generation across corporate insurance and reinsurance projects encompassing both insurers and brokers.

You'll be offering a broad array of advisory and change delivery services spanning areas including but not limited to, Data Strategy & Governance, Digital Platforms & Cloud, Anti-Financial Crime, Risk Frameworks & Controls, and Programme Change Delivery.

Whilst there is a large commercial insurer currently engaged with the business, for which you will be able to get involved with and offer expanded services to, it is important that you have a strong commercially leverageable relationship network within the insurance market. Just as importantly, you'll have a good understanding of key challenges facing commercial insurance organisations (business/ functions/ IT).
You must be able to work collaboratively with team members on collateral development, pitches and client meetings, to maximise chances of closure. It is also important that you have the ability to QA/ oversee insurance projects, or have a part-time involvement in them (to drive, "land and expand" activity). As a market specialist, you'll also provide coaching and performance feedback to staff on insurance projects.

The company's headquarters is situated in London, with consulting services delivered in an innovative manner via a combination of methods: from physical locations, in-location resources in its spoke locations, fly/drive and via JV Partners, depending on each client's requirements. As such, you will be able to work remotely, whilst being flexible for onsite meetings, as and when needed.

This consultancy very much believes in rewarding its employees financially and offers one of the most attractive remuneration packages in the market. The basic salary is up to circa £160K, however, this is very much negotiable (depending on experience and relationship network). In addition, there is a highly lucrative bonus scheme of up to 20%. With some top Consultants earning £500K within this organisation, it is certainly all there for the taking.
