Primary Teaching Assistant (KS1/KS2) - Hounslow, West London

£100-£101.10 per day Full-Time September 2026 Start Long-Term Opportunity

Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates are reserved for candidates with substantial experience and/or relevant training. Pay is determined in line with school expectations and Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.

A highly successful and ambitious primary school in Hounslow is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join its team from September 2026. The Role Responsibilities
  • Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to accelerate progress.
  • Help children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
  • Support literacy, numeracy and communication skills across the curriculum.
  • Assist teachers in creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Contribute to pupils' social, emotional and academic development.
  • Support classroom routines, learning activities and educational visits where required.
Successful candidate will
  • Have a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Be positive, enthusiastic and committed to supporting pupil success.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Hold GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).

Previous experience working with primary aged children is desirable but not essential.
