Primary School Teacher (QTS Required)

Location: South Bristol
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
Pay: £130 - £180 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Temporary, with potential for long-term opportunities
Hours: Full-time school hours (part-time and ad hoc opportunities may be available)

Role

We are currently seeking a qualified Primary School Teacher to join a supportive and welcoming school in South Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic educator who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and fostering an engaging, inclusive learning environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons in line with the National Curriculum, supporting pupil progress, and promoting positive behaviour within the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Primary National Curriculum
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to assessments as required
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, pupils, and parents
• Uphold safeguarding and child protection responsibilities at all times

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
• Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting
• Strong classroom management skills
• A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (child workforce), or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK
