Private Estate

Fulltime, Temporary 6 month contract - Ozleworth

We are looking to recruit a reliable and motivated Gardener to join our team on a 6-month fixed term contract for the busy summer season, with the possibility of extension.

This is a hands on, outdoor position working within a small friendly team on a private estate near Wotton under Edge in Gloucestershire. You will support the maintenance of formal gardens some 12 acres, and assist with the upkeep of a wider 670 acre estate.

This role would suit someone with solid practical experience who is looking to develop their skills further within a professional estate environment.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Grass Cutting, Strimming and mowing
• Hedge cutting and pruning
• Supporting a range of seasonal horticultural tasks

What we are looking for:

• At least 1-3 year' practical gardening or horticultural experience
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather

Requirements:

• Possess a valid UK driving licence

Desirable (not essential):

• Holding relevant certificates such as spraying, chain saw, ATV
• Basic plant knowledge

Work in a beautiful rural setting
