Power BI Report Developer - Hemswell, Lincolnshire - £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (Depending on Experience, Hybrid available after probation)

Role Overview

As a Power BI Report Developer, you will play a crucial role in fostering a data-driven culture, enabling informed decision-making and operational excellence.

Your main goal will be to leverage Power BI to transform raw data into actionable insights, creating reports and dashboards that support operational, strategic, and tactical decisions across the organization.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements, manipulate datasets, and develop interactive visualizations to aid decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Power BI Design: Use Power BI Desktop to create interactive reports and dashboards highlighting KPIs, operational metrics, and trends.
  2. Data Visualisation: Apply best practices to develop intuitive and visually appealing reports tailored to stakeholder needs.
  3. Data Modeling: Build robust data models and relationships within Power BI to enable accurate analysis of complex datasets.

Report Integration: Combine data from internal and external sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and ERP systems (TROPOS), to support various reporting layers.

Data Analysis: Monitor report performance and identify opportunities for optimization to ensure efficiency and reliability.

Data Security: Implement role-based access controls to safeguard sensitive information, maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft Power BI certification (preferred).
  • At least 1 year of experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Experience managing BI projects through the full development cycle.
  • Proven ability to design complex reports meeting business needs.
  • Experience working with large datasets and optimizing query performance.
  • Knowledge of data extraction, transformation, and ERP systems (desirable).

Skills

  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, CRM, ERP, CI tools, and Product Data Management software.
  • Excellent analytical skills to translate data into insights.
  • Understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
