Location: Stockport

Working arrangements: Hybrid

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Develop your corporate insolvency career with a specialist firm offering varied casework and hybrid working.

Imperium Financial Recruitment is recruiting a Post-Appointment Corporate Insolvency Administrator to join a firm of Insolvency Specialists based in Stockport.

This opportunity would suit someone with practical corporate insolvency experience who enjoys taking responsibility for case progression, resolving queries and working with a range of stakeholders.

You will focus on the administration of corporate insolvency cases following appointment, working closely with Insolvency Practitioners and senior colleagues to progress assignments through to closure.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing an allocated portfolio of post-appointment corporate insolvency cases under appropriate supervision.
  • Preparing statutory reports, notices, correspondence and supporting case documentation.
  • Liaising with directors, creditors, solicitors, agents, accountants and other relevant parties.
  • Gathering and reviewing company books, records and financial information.
  • Assisting with the identification, protection and realisation of company assets.
  • Supporting investigations into company affairs and highlighting matters requiring further review.
  • Reviewing creditor claims and assisting with distributions.
  • Monitoring statutory deadlines and following up on outstanding actions.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and updating the case management system.
  • Liaising with the cashiering team regarding receipts, payments and account reconciliations.
  • Providing clear progress updates to managers and Insolvency Practitioners.
  • Preparing cases for closure and ensuring outstanding matters are addressed.

About you

Previous experience in corporate insolvency administration, including post-appointment casework, is essential.

You will also bring:

  • A working knowledge of corporate insolvency procedures, particularly Creditors' Voluntary Liquidations.
  • Experience progressing cases and preparing accurate documentation.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence dealing professionally with directors, creditors and external advisers.
  • A proactive approach to resolving queries and moving cases forward.
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining complete case files.
  • The ability to work independently within your experience level and seek guidance when needed.

A relevant insolvency qualification, such as the CPI, would be advantageous but is not essential where suitable practical experience can be demonstrated.

The opportunity

  • Hybrid working, combining time at home with attendance at the Stockport office.
  • A dedicated focus on post-appointment corporate insolvency work.
  • Exposure to varied cases within a specialist practice.
  • The opportunity to build your technical knowledge alongside experienced insolvency professionals.
  • Scope to take on greater case responsibility as your experience develops.
