The Position:An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Primary Care Department for a Personal Assistant to join the Public Dental Services team.
ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will provide a high level of personal assistant support to the Director of Dentistry along with providing a comprehensive administrative support to the Public Dental Service. Ensuring the delivery of an effective, efficient and quality service at all times.
QualificationsYou will be required to have a recognised qualification in HNC Business Administration, or SVQ Level 3 in Administration, or have significant equivalent experience. The post holder will be conversant with office procedures and be experienced in the use of Microsoft Office packages, have excellent communication and organisational skills, and be able to handle a diverse workload.
Location, Working Pattern and Contract DurationThe post will be based at The Balfour.
The successful candidate will work: Part Time 27 hours per week.
This post is Fixed-Term for 12 months due to the substantive postholders return from maternity leave.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NHS Orkney.

The salary for this post is Band 4 and if residing on Orkney, you'll also receive a Distant Islands Allowance of £1,719 pro rata per annum, adding extra value to your rewarding career with us.
