Portfolio Payroll are proud to be partnering with a well-established construction business who are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their close-knit team.
This opportunity would suit someone with solid payroll administration experience who is confident processing high-volume payrolls, maintaining accurate employee data and providing clear, supportive payroll guidance across a busy operational workforce.
The RoleWorking within a small, supportive payroll team, you will take ownership of the 4-weekly payroll cycle from start to finish. Accuracy, organisation and strong communication will be key as you support employees, managers and internal departments to ensure payroll is delivered smoothly and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities- End-to-end payroll across a 4-weekly cycle
- Data entry & validation for starters, leavers, changes, sickness, maternity and other amendments
- System processing using Sage Payroll and associated platforms
- HMRC updates - tax codes, student loans and statutory changes
- Manual calculations and production of payroll reports
- Third-party payments including AOE, CSA and other deductions
- Pension administration ensuring accurate records and timely submissions
- Employee support - providing clear guidance to staff, managers and regional teams
- Compliance with internal financial policies and statutory requirements
- Cross-department collaboration with HR, managers and wider business functions
- Salary up to £32,000 plus bonus
