Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking an experienced Payroll and Benefits Officer to join our friendly and supportive team based at the Chichester campus. Supporting the Payroll and Benefits Manager, you will help ensure the provision of a high-quality payroll and benefits service, offering a full customer focused service with accurate and timely payments of staff salaries and expenses as well as third party payments and liaising with external bodies; ensuring the University meets its statutory obligations and objectives.
You will understand the importance of accurate and timely processing of payroll and expenses and have experience of a wide range of payroll practices and procedures as well as proficient knowledge of pension schemes. A proactive approach to work and learning new skills with the ability to work on your own initiative is a must together with a high standard of literacy, numeracy and attention to detail. You will need good interpersonal and communication skills, a professional manner and the ability to build relationships and respect confidentiality.
