Pastoral Officer

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time only
Contract Start Date: September 2026
The Pastoral Officer role is a very varied and rewarding position in our setting. Working with students in the classroom setting, in one-to-one intervention capacity, and supporting offsite visits/trips and activities. You will work with students with varying abilities and different needs from KS3 up to GCSE level. You must be positive, resilient, friendly and hard working. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role. This role is challenging, rewarding and will allow the successful applicant to be creative with autonomy.
You will have- A relevant degree or a Level 3 TA qualification
- At least one years' school-based experience
- Understand how to best support SEN
- Are capable of understanding and adapting the curriculum
- Can build relationships with pupils quickly and efficiently
- Working alongside other staff members to adapt and deliver the curriculum
- Liaising with the class teacher re-the progress of the pupil
- Delivering interventions on a 1:1 basis for speech and language, literacy and numeracy with guidance from staff
- Being a positive member of the school staff and promoting our 'Safe Ready Respectful' ethos
