We're looking for a Gardener to join our team at a prestigious hotel, helping to maintain and enhance grounds that play an important part in every guest's experience. You'll work across a variety of horticultural tasks, have the opportunity to contribute ideas for improvements, and take pride in seeing the impact of your work every day.
What you'll do:In this role, you'll help maintain exceptional outdoor spaces that enhance the guest experience and uphold the high standards expected across the site.
- Deliver high-quality grounds maintenance activities, including mowing, strimming, pruning, hedge cutting and general gardening, ensuring the site remains attractive and well-presented throughout the year.
- Support the ongoing improvement of the landscape by identifying opportunities to enhance planting, presentation and overall site appearance.
- Carry out spraying activities where qualified, helping to maintain healthy and visually appealing grounds.
- Take ownership of the tools, machinery and vehicles you use, ensuring they remain safe, clean, well-maintained and ready for daily operations.
- Maintain a safe working environment by following health, safety and environmental procedures, helping to protect colleagues, visitors and hotel guests.
- Contribute ideas that improve efficiency, reduce waste and support continuous improvement across the contract.

- Practical grounds maintenance or horticultural experience gained in a similar environment.

- Strong team-working skills, alongside the ability to work independently when required.
- A good understanding of health and safety practices within grounds maintenance operations.
- Confidence using machinery, equipment and handheld technology in line with training and experience.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- PA1 and PA6A spraying qualifications would be advantageous.
- Formal horticultural qualifications would be beneficial.
- A full UK driving licence would be desirable.
