About the Role

Provanhall Housing Association (PHA) is recruiting a full-time Repairs & Maintenance Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality customer service and repairs management to our 533 tenants.

This is a busy, front-facing role where you'll often be the first point of contact for tenants by phone or in person. You'll provide clear, accurate advice, support colleagues, and help sustain tenancies across our community. Reporting to the Repairs & Maintenance Officer, you'll work within a small, supportive team and receive training to confidently manage a range of repairs and maintenance tasks. These include

  • supporting tenants with repair enquiries,
  • liaising with contractors,
  • placing works orders, monitoring job completions, assisting with voids, planned and cyclical maintenance,
  • providing information, signposting and escalating more complex issues appropriately,
  • using IT systems to record, update and maintain accurate tenancy information,
  • contributing to a positive, responsive service that helps tenants feel supported and informed.

Every day is different, and we're looking for someone who brings care, compassion, accuracy, and professionalism to their work.

What We Offer

At PHA, your contribution is seen and valued. We offer one of the strongest staff benefits packages in the sector, including:

  • A 31.5-hour working week (office closes at 12:30pm on Fridays).
  • Enhanced flexibility,
  • 40 days equivalent annual leave,
  • A positive, inclusive culture that invests in its people.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in housing management while helping us deliver safe, warm, sustainable homes for our community.

All staff are expected to demonstrate the competencies and behaviours set out for their role and grade. These are detailed in the Job Description and will form part of the assessment process.
