Job Description

Bennett and Game are representing a well-established RIBA Chartered architectural practice based in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter, who are looking for a Part II Architectural Assistant to join their growing team. Our client are known for delivering technically robust, design-led projects across the UK within the Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial, Education and Residential sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a Part II Architectural Assistant to gain exposure to meaningful, high-profile schemes including specialist healthcare environments as well as major commercial and industrial developments. Part II Architectural Assistant Job Overview
  • Assist with the design and technical delivery of projects across RIBA Stages 2-6
  • Produce and develop architectural drawings and models using Revit
  • Gain exposure to a wide range of sectors including Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial, Education and Residential
  • Assist with the preparation of planning and detailed technical information
  • Work alongside senior architects and consultants to develop coordinated design solutions
  • Gain experience working on projects ranging from £1m to £30m+
  • Assist with ensuring designs comply with UK Building Regulations and relevant standards
  • Attend project meetings and contribute to design development and coordination
  • Develop technical knowledge and gain valuable experience towards completing Part III
Part II Architectural Assistant Requirements
  • Masters in Architecture
  • Previous experience within a UK architectural practice
  • Good working knowledge of Revit
  • Strong design and technical ability with a good understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work
  • Some experience across multiple RIBA Stages advantageous
  • Interest or experience within Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial, Education or Residential sectors advantageous
  • Understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction processes
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Proactive, motivated and keen to develop professionally
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong design and technical capabilities
  • Live within a commutable distance of Birmingham (Jewellery Quarter)
