Role: Painter and Decorator

Location: HMP Parkhurst, 55 Parkhurst Rd, Newport. PO30 5RS

Salary: £30,656.92 per annum

Contract: Permanent - 39hrs per week - Mon Fri

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at HMP Parkhurst, a high security, adult, male prison. Join a team that works Monday to Friday as a supportive and driven family, creating a safe and nurturing environment for prisoners, employees, visitors, families and the wider community.

As a Painter & Decorator you will work alongside experienced colleagues from plumbing, electrical, carpentry, cleaning and administration. Your role will contribute to the smooth and safe operation of the facility, supporting rehabilitation and positive change.

Qualifications

• A City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting and Decorating or equivalent (or significant experience / time served in a similar role)
• Experience working in a maintenance team
• An honest and reliable character, capable of working with purpose and pace
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
