Packaging Manufacturing Apprentice - £375 £562 per week - Flintshire. This role offers the chance to earn while you learn with one of Europe's leading carton manufacturers. The apprentice will work alongside experienced professionals in a modern manufacturing environment while studying for a Level 3 NVQ. Over three years, you will develop practical skills, gain industry recognised qualifications and become part of a business that often turns apprentices into permanent careers.

As a Packaging Manufacturing Apprentice you will work in one of our key production departments - Print, Cut & Crease or Finishing - and will gain structured training, ongoing mentoring and exposure to advanced manufacturing technology used to produce packaging for some of the world's leading brands.

Initially, you will work day shifts before progressing to a rotating three shift pattern as your training develops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn how high quality carton packaging is manufactured from raw materials to finished products.
  • Work alongside skilled operators, engineers and production specialists.
  • Develop practical skills in machine operation, quality control and production processes.
  • Build a strong understanding of health and safety and continuous improvement.
  • Learn how automation and modern manufacturing technology support production.
  • Develop teamwork, communication, organisational and problem solving skills.
  • Complete your Level 3 NVQ while gaining valuable workplace experience.

Qualifications and attributes
  • GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.

Shift Pattern

Initially day shifts, progressing to a three shift rotation:

  • Shift A: 5:45 am-1:15 pm Monday to Thursday, 5:45 am-11:45 am Friday
  • Shift B: 1:15 pm-8:45 pm Monday to Thursday, 11:45 am-5:45 pm Friday
  • Shift C: 8:45 pm-5:45 am Monday to Thursday

Note that night working and certain working time restrictions apply to apprentices under the age of 18.
