Pay Rate: £27-£30 per hour
Location: Northumberland
Hours: Flexible, dependent on learner requirements
Contract: Part-time/Freelance

Spencer Clarke Tutors are seeking an experienced and compassionate 1:1 SEND Tutor to support learners across Northumberland on behalf of the Local Authority.

This role involves delivering tailored educational support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who may be attending alternative provision, receiving education otherwise than at school (EOTAS), or requiring additional support to engage with learning.

The Role

• Deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition sessions.
• Adapt learning to meet individual SEND needs.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with learners.
• Track progress and provide session feedback.
• Support learners in achieving their academic and personal development goals.

Requirements

• Experience working with SEND learners.
• Teaching qualification, tutoring experience, or relevant educational background.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated sessions.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (essential).
• Right to work in the UK.
