Outbound Sales Manager
Posted 6 hours 40 minutes ago by Plytix
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Outbound Sales Manager to build our outbound sales strategy from the ground up. Our primary markets include the USA and Europe.
You'll build the outbound function from scratch: define the playbook, lead the team, and drive new business through outbound efforts-with a clear focus on results, efficiency, and revenue impact. If you've launched or led outbound teams in SaaS before and know how to move from strategy to closed deals, this role is for you.
Due to the high number of applicants, we will only consider applicants who include a video presentation in their application. More info below.
What is Plytix?
Plytix is the world's leading Product Information Management (PIM) platform for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (SMBs). Plytix PIM helps companies store and organize product information ranging from descriptions and images to prices, and other specifications, in one place. Essentially, it's a handy tool that makes managing and updating product data a whole lot easier.
About our culture
This is where you'd typically see a long paragraph of boring text that no one reads, peppered with corporate buzzwords that don't mean anything. But, Plytix is no typical company, so we'll spare you that. Instead, watch this video , and if you like what you see, keep scrolling.
What's the opportunity?
You'll be the first person at Plytix fully dedicated to outbound. That means you won't just be executing-you'll own the outbound strategy, from building the foundation to leading the team and running the full sales cycle.
Currently we're focused on growing in the U.S. This is your chance to play a critical role in that expansion.
What will you be doing?
You'll be building and leading the outbound engine that will set meetings for the Account Executive team. The target markets are USA, Europe, and potentially Australia.
Your responsibilities includes:
- Designing and building the outbound area from scratch: processes, playbooks, tools, and strategy
- Defining and executing outbound campaigns: ICPs, sequences, channels, messaging, and KPIs
- Managing the full sales cycle-from first outreach to closing new customers
- Recruiting, Leading, and motivating a small (but growing) outbound team
- Training, coaching, and supporting the team on prospecting, qualification, and best practices
- Measuring performance, analyzing results, and scaling what works
- Collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and Product to align outbound efforts with global goals
After 1 month:
You'll know Plytix inside out. You'll have earned your PIM Certificate, met the teams, and gotten deep into our messaging, ICPs, and tools. You have already been cold calling yourself to see what works and you have set up a playbook incl. Openers, Objection handling etc. You have also started the recruitment process and ideally hired your first 2 reps.
After 3 months:
Your team is up and running and are successfully booking meetings. You're polishing your processes and your playbook. You're now working closely with the Account Executive team and the RevOps team to identify areas for improvements. You've set training schedules, processes, and reporting dashboards. You'll be testing and adjusting messaging and processes-and setting the stage to bring in more people.
6 months in:
Your team is now quota carrying, but you want more. You're pestering the CEO on a daily basis for more headcount because you're hungry like a wolf.
Who will you be working with?
You'll report to either the CEO or the Sales Director, and will work closely with:
- The RevOps team
- The Account Executive team
- And of course the Outbound Team
We expect you to:
- Have 5+ years of experience building or leading outbound teams in B2B SaaS
- A proven track record of building BDR teams
- Be confident running the full sales cycle-from first message to signed customer
- Know how to define strategy, execute, and iterate based on data
- Be comfortable using tools like HubSpot, Aircall, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, and Vidyard
- Be a clear, persuasive communicator with strong copywriting and messaging skills
- Be fluent in English
- Be genuinely motivated by growth, ownership, and delivering measurable business results. We're not looking for someone who just "runs outreach"-we want someone who gets things done and brings in real results.
Nice to have:
- Experience in retail
- Familiarity with outbound automation and ABM strategies
- Comfortable creating or using video as part of your outbound strategy
- A dog dogs are the best
