Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Hybrid Cloud Director to join our Oracle & Linux cluster, which provides critical 24/7 services. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the Oracle PaaS platform and ensuring availability, reliability, and data integrity across our systems. You will collaborate closely with a professional agile team to manage the lifecycle, support, and further development of our database and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform technical management of the Oracle PaaS platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and problems.
- Perform database platform, Fusion Middleware, and cloud management.
- Carry out impact analyses, implement changes, and develop acceptance tests.
- Apply and enforce infrastructure standards.
- Draft and maintain operating procedures and technical documentation.
- Handle second and third-line support issues.
- Provide technical advice for projects, design, and infrastructure decisions.
- Take ownership of assigned work and follow through with end-to-end responsibility.
- Collaborate with internal customers, ensuring their needs are heard and met.
- Work effectively in a hybrid team setup with regular contact via scrum/agile frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- A recognized, fully completed diploma at minimum MBO 4 level.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in the past 10 years as an Oracle DBA (including OCI, Exadata, Exalogic, WebLogic FMW, and OEM) in large, politically governed organizations (>1000 employees).
- At least 3 years of recent experience in managing PaaS environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- A recognized, fully completed diploma at HBO level in ICT.
- Valid and demonstrable Oracle certifications.
- At least 3 years of experience working with Oracle Database 19c and Fusion Middleware.
- At least 1 year of experience working within Scrum/Agile environments.
- Familiarity and work experience with Jira and Confluence.
