Overview

Asda wants you to find your everything. As Night Manager, you will manage and lead the night team to keep everything running whilst the rest of the world sleeps, ensuring we are delivering the best availability and highest shop floor standards across all departments, whilst ensuring our store remains safe and legal for our customers and colleagues. You will be solely responsible for the store through the night and need to oversee operations where the store is open 24 hours. You will work a rolling rota, four nights over seven, including weekend working.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategy into action by planning and executing all trading activity on the shopfloor during night shift, ensuring delivery is date rotated and waste and returns are managed correctly, limiting damage through replenishment (only for Supermarket and Superstores/centres with no Lead Night Manager in structure).
• Lead and coach night colleagues and team leaders to deliver excellent shop floor standards, creating a culture of selling customers with personality, serving with heart and pride, and getting one more item in every basket.
• Ensure the shop floor is landed and presentable for customers before handing over to the day team, with promotion, foyer and hot spots fit for trade.
• Listen with empathy, drive resilience and encourage ownership, focus and passion for the business, bringing the Asdaness to work every day, and support team development while creating an environment where people feel valued, trusted and motivated to step up.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, ideally overnight.
• Ability to make decisions independently with a hands on attitude and a drive to improve processes and people.
• Confidence in developing teams and managing change.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Flexibility to work a range of night shifts, including weekends.
