What you will do:

• Provide specialist clinical pharmacy services to mental health, intermediate care, and elderly care inpatient units, ensuring appropriate medication management.
• Offer specialist information on medication use to consultants, prescribers, healthcare professionals, and patients.
• Support professional leads in addressing medicine use issues to meet CQC standards, advising on safe medication storage and controlled drug processes.
• Collaborate with the Medication Safety Officer to implement safety initiatives on wards.
• Accurately record clinical pharmacy activities and screen prescriptions to ensure safety and efficacy.
• Participate in dispensary and medicine information rotas, providing evaluated information on complex enquiries.
• Engage in peer review meetings and undertake continuous professional development.

Requirements of the Pharmacist:

• GPHC Registration
• Previous experience in a UK-based NHS Pharmacy setting
• NVQ or equivalent Pharmacist qualification
