Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting Newly Qualified Teachers for temporary, ongoing supply opportunities across primary schools in Rotherham, with a particular focus on Key Stage 1.

The start of a new academic year is a great opportunity for a Newly Qualified Teacher to gain experience in different schools, develop classroom confidence and find the right setting for your teaching career. Some partner schools may also be able to support appropriate ECT induction terms where available.

Position: Newly Qualified Teacher - KS1

Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply

Pay: £130 - £190 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

Working as a Newly Qualified Teacher across KS1 in Rotherham, you will teach pupils in Years 1 and 2 across a variety of primary schools.

The Newly Qualified Teacher role may involve day-to-day supply, short-term cover or longer-term opportunities depending on school requirements. Academics will provide ongoing support throughout your supply work.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and well-structured KS1 lessons
• Plan and prepare lessons where required
• Assess and monitor pupil progress
• Establish positive classroom relationships
• Support pupils with different learning needs
• Manage behaviour effectively
• Work closely with school staff and teaching teams
• Follow safeguarding and school procedures

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Newly Qualified Teacher or early-career teacher
• Interest in Key Stage 1 teaching
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Commitment to pupil progress and wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one
