On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Cyber Project Manager (Cyber Governance & Compliance) for a 12 Months contract operating across Bristol and Derby (Hybrid).
Purpose of the role:
As a Cyber Project Manager you will lead the delivery of critical cyber security, governance and compliance projects within a complex and highly regulated environment. This is an opportunity for a senior delivery professional who can take ownership from day one, establish direction, drive momentum and deliver outcomes without requiring detailed instruction or supervision. The role will lead initiatives across Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001, DEF STAN, NIST and broader cyber risk and assurance projects.
What you'll do:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of cyber security and compliance projects, including Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 and DEF STAN initiatives.
- Establish and drive project governance, reporting, RAID management, budgets and executive-level communication.
- Coordinate multiple workstreams across technical and business teams, ensuring alignment and delivery against strategic objectives.
- Drive audit preparation, certification activities and remediation projects through to successful completion.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies and compliance milestones across a complex programme of activity.
- Lead stakeholder engagement at all levels, from technical SMEs through to executive leadership teams.
- Manage third-party suppliers, consultancies and certification bodies to ensure delivery remains on track.
The skills you'll need:
- Extensive experience delivering cyber security, governance, assurance and compliance projects within large, complex organisations.
- Proven delivery experience across Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 and DEF STAN projects.
- Strong understanding of cyber security controls, governance frameworks, risk management and audit requirements.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams and delivering through Matrix teams.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, challenge and gain commitment at all organisational levels.
- Excellent executive reporting, communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working with auditors, regulators, customers and third-party assurance bodies.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP or equivalent project management qualification.
- SC Clearance or eligible to obtain it.
