This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world, hands-on experience supporting, maintaining, and upgrading network infrastructure across a range of hotel environments.
Working under the guidance of experienced professionals, the apprentice will learn how to install, configure, and troubleshoot a variety of network systems-including Wi-Fi, telephony, audio-visual, and firewall technologies-while developing the essential skills and knowledge required for a successful career in networking.
In this role, you'll work towards yourLevel 4 Network Engineer Apprenticeship,delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- You will be based in a dynamic hotel environment, providing IT support across multiple systems including Wi-Fi, telephony, and audio-visual TV systems.
- All changes are clearly documented and communicated via SharePoint, with up-to-date network diagrams shared with the respective hotel teams. Communication is adapted appropriately whether over phone, email, or written documentation.
- You will work closely with a Senior Network Engineer to assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Troubleshooting will be guided by standard tools and processes provided by the Network Team.
- You'll be involved in upgrading legacy Wi-Fi networks to the latest Wi-Fi 6 standard, enhancing performance and reliability across hotel properties.
- Risk assessment and task prioritisation are managed through a ticketing system, with issues triaged based on urgency and the number of users impacted.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours&Benefits:
- Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
- 28 Days Annual leave including bank holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
- Grade 4 in Maths and 5 in English is essential for this role
- Apprentice will need to be over 18 as they stay in hotels
- Driver or learning to drive!
- Passion for Tech - not just building PCs but a genuine interest.
- Open minded
- Team Player
