Job Description
Job Overview

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a Manager for the Research & Development Data Office (RADO). In this role you will lead data governance initiatives across Regulatory Affairs and R&D, align cross functional stakeholders, and build and maintain a robust data strategy to support MedTech innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and execute key data governance initiatives within the R&D Data Office.
  • Establish an R&D Data Dictionary: coordinate development and implementation, identify data ownership, approve attribute definitions, and manage a data steward community for regular coordination and escalation.
  • Maintain and enhance business metadata and data catalog entries to improve discoverability and understanding.
  • Build an R&D Data Quality Management Framework to monitor data quality, provide insights for remediation, and improve data accuracy.
  • Create and maintain data quality dashboards, track performance, and implement efficient data cleansing solutions.
  • Lead Change Management & Continuous Improvement: oversee awareness, training, and change initiatives; facilitate feedback sessions with data stewards; promote a culture of high data quality, transparency, and operational excellence.
  • Demonstrate and model J&J Leadership Imperatives (Live Our Credo, Connect, Shape, Grow); foster collaborative, inclusive, and learning oriented regulatory community.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Research & Development, Information Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in R&D, quality, regulatory, or related fields.
  • In depth understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management principles.
  • Experience with Research & Development digital and data systems.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills with the ability to work cross functionally with global teams.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate technical concepts to non technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem solving skills to identify and resolve complex data management and analytics issues.
