Role Overview

EY's Cybersecurity Consulting Practice is expanding. The Manager will lead privacy and data protection engagements, provide specialist advice, develop the practice, and lead cross disciplinary teams. The role is primarily privacy focused, with opportunities across cyber consulting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engagements and build productive relationships with client stakeholders through project delivery.
• Work across a portfolio of engagements, responsible for day to day delivery of engagement activity and meeting quality, time, and budget targets.
• Develop the practice through article contributions, public speaking, and participation at industry events.
• Plan and deliver engagements with prospective clients.
• Create high quality reports for review by engagement and project leaders.
• Identify sales opportunities and collaborate with senior leaders on proposals and marketing material.
• Mentor, coach, and develop junior team members.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in consulting delivering privacy and data protection engagements, including reviews, assessments, programme enhancements, and data protection programmes.
• Experience designing remediation programme roadmaps, scoping, and planning multiyear programmes.
• Delivery experience in risk identification, regulatory reporting, maturity and compliance assessments, risk reporting, operating model, and strategy.
• Broader cybersecurity experience beyond privacy (e.g., security transformation, solution architecture, cyber resilience).
• Experience in developing and delivering complex client solutions or proposition development.

Preferred

• Privacy qualifications (CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, ISEB in Data Protection).
• Experience with privacy tooling (OneTrust, BigID, Purview, Trust Arc).
• Experience managing technologies (DLP, Data Discovery, Classification).
• CISSP, CISM, CISMP, ISO27001 lead implementer/auditor.
• Sector experience in government, energy, retail, life sciences, telecoms, media, technology, or transport.

Additional Requirements

The successful candidate must undergo and pass Security Check clearance after joining EY. Candidates must be UK nationals or residents for a minimum of five years with no more than six months outside the UK.
