Company Overview

Our Client is committed to decarbonising hard to abate sectors by unlocking the full potential of biomethane production in the UK. They plan to make an immediate impact by reducing transport, industry and agriculture CO 2 emissions by 2023. The company creates and procures biogas from anaerobic digestion facilities in the UK, upgrades it to biomethane, and transports it to its point of use via biomethane powered trucks. The low carbon biomethane will be directly used as an alternative fuel to power vehicles and injected into the gas grid for renewable heat. The company has excellent prospects ahead and plans significant growth in the coming years.

Role

Our client is developing and building multiple multi year contracts and projects in the UK. They are looking for skilled people to deliver on these opportunities in Anaerobic Digestion and CNG.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver project tasks, designs and work with the internal team and process contractors/suppliers at various stages in the project life cycle, to deliver projects to specification, within agreed time frames and budget.
  • Review technical specification (both from internal engineering team and external client standards) to ensure they meet the project technical and commercial requirements.
  • Manage the supply chain through the procurement, engineering, implementation, commissioning and handover phase.
  • Ensure review of supplier schedules against the contract programme, advising of any changes that will affect completion.
  • Ensure production of monthly progress reports from the supply chain, if necessary, facilitating and coordinating progress meetings.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Co ordinated and supported staff within multi disciplinary teams.
  • Proactive ownership of tasks and contribution to business growth.
  • Understanding of anaerobic digestion, sludge treatment or water and wastewater treatment.
  • Knowledge of regulations and guidance for CNG, DSEAR regulations and biogas/biomethane technologies.
  • Working knowledge of various conditions of contract.
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification.
  • Experience of supply chain expedition.
  • CDM & Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Experience in development of new and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on working effectively in cross functional teams at all levels of the company.
  • Self motivated with good organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent IT skills; additional CAD knowledge beneficial.
  • Full UK driving licence, prepared for regular UK and occasional overseas travel.
  • Adaptable, agile and flexible in approach to working.
