Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

We are recruiting for a welcoming and supportive primary school in Basildon seeking a dedicated LSA to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who require additional support to reach their full potential.

The Role

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
• Assist children with their learning, social development, and emotional wellbeing.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans.
• Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom environment.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children with SEN within a school setting.
• Understanding of a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
• A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
