Overview

Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Liverpool as an Advanced Practitioner (AP) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable families. We are seeking a qualified professional with a passion for child welfare and safeguarding to provide high-quality support and intervention. This role offers a competitive rate of £39 per hour (Umbrella) and an opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored support plans for families.


• Providing expert advice and guidance to social work staff, ensuring best practices in safeguarding.


• Leading case reviews and participating in multi-agency meetings to coordinate effective interventions.


• Mentoring and supervising less experienced practitioners to enhance their professional development.


• Ensuring compliance with local and national safeguarding policies and legislation.

Qualifications

• A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).


• Current Social Work England registration.


• Significant experience in child protection and family safeguarding.


• Strong analytical and assessment skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with families and agencies.
