This role would be based in our Glasgow office.

Our Team

We are looking to hire a Litigation Assistant to join our successful Litigation team, based in Glasgow.

The Role

We are looking to further strengthen our current team with the appointment of a Litigation Assistant who will provide administrative support in our Litigation team.

The successful candidate will be expected to use a significant degree of self-management and initiative and is expected to work as part of a team.

As a Litigation Assistant at Gilson Gray LLP you'll be responsible for:

  • Organising and maintaining the calendar of the Supervising Partner (and, as appropriate, other Team members), including arranging meetings in and out of office, Teams/Zoom calls, telephone calls;
  • Scanning and copying papers into the Document Management System;
  • Ensuring filing (both electronic and hard copy) is kept up to date;
  • Drafting correspondence and court documents, as required;
  • Communicating with clients by phone or email as requested;
  • Carry out feeing processes for the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Team, including preparation of Time Statements, and the preparation of Outlay Only Invoices and associated correspondence;
  • Ensuring that all court dates are entered and kept up to date in the Court diary for Glasgow Team members;
  • Ensuring that cases and dates are communicated to the team in advance of court dates;
  • Assisting in case reviews and action as required;
  • Adding to and maintaining the styles for the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Team;
  • Providing general support to other work colleagues as and when required.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • Previous experience of working in an administrative role;
  • Excellent typing skills are essential;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills by telephone and in person.
