Legal Counsel

Legal Counsel - Midlands - Hybrid working.

Astral Legal has partnered with a leading Financial Services company based in the Midlands.

This is a hybrid role offering 2 days a week in the office.

You will be joining a small team handling a variety of legal work across a regulated environment. Due to the size of the team you will gain exposure to high quality work. The role will focus primarily on corporate and commercial work (approximately 50%), alongside involvement in governance, employment, property, procurement, litigation and other Legal matters.

The ideal candidate will ideally be a junior lawyer between 0-3-year PQE but my client is open to PQE levels.

Key Responsibilities for the Legal counsel will be:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial agreements, including supplier, service and partnership contracts.
• Supporting corporate transactions and strategic projects across the business.
• Supporting corporate governance processes, including board and committee documentation where required.
• Assisting with compliance with relevant regulatory obligations applicable to a listed consumer financial services business
• Helping on employment matters in conjunction with HR and external advisers.
• Advising on procurement processes and reviewing supplier documentation.
• Other associated Legal work
