About the roleWe seek a Lecturer in Education to join the Department of Physics, contributing to our successful, friendly, and dynamic team, in collaboration with the Department of Physics and King's Foundations.
The role involves teaching highly capable international students on the King's Foundations programme, a one-year RQF Level 3 course preparing students for undergraduate study. You will support students to become independent, critical, and creative learners, with opportunities to develop and deliver Physics & Mathematics modules.
Please note that some students may be under 18; therefore, you may need to act as a Personal Tutor, which requires an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
The successful candidate will join the Physics Education Research Group, lead departmental module teaching, and undertake minor administrative duties as directed by the Head of Department. HE teaching experience is essential, and innovative teaching methods are an advantage.
This is a full-time position (35 hours/week) with a fixed-term contract for 3 years.
