A nurturing and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work one-to-one with a Reception pupil with high needs. The child requires consistent emotional, sensory, and communication support throughout the school day, and the school is committed to ensuring the right LSA is in place for September.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping the pupil settle, access learning, follow visual routines, and develop early social skills. You will work closely with the SENCO, class teacher, and external professionals to ensure the child receives the structure and care they need.

The school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant who:

• Has experience supporting high-needs pupils or working in EYFS

• Is patient, calm, and able to follow structured care and learning plans

• Can support early communication, sensory regulation, and transitions

• Is confident working one-to-one in a busy mainstream Reception classroom

• Can build trusting, positive relationships with young learners

• A compassionate and highly supportive EYFS team

• Daily guidance from the SENCO and access to external specialist support

• A spacious, well-resourced Reception environment
