Lead SOC Analyst

Lead SOC Analyst | Active SC | Up to £600/day Inside IR35

A long-term security programme is looking for an experienced Lead/Senior SOC Analyst to support threat monitoring, incident investigation, escalation and the wider operation of a 24/7 SOC environment.

This is a hands-on operational role with responsibility for incident quality, escalation and supporting other analysts on shift.

Key experience:

• Active SC clearance
• Strong Microsoft Sentinel experience
• Strong Microsoft Defender/EDR/XDR experience
• L2/L3 SOC experience
• Incident triage and investigation
• Alert validation and escalation
• Threat detection and security event analysis
• Reading logs across endpoint, network and cloud environments
• Incident response and major incident coordination
• Experience acting as a senior escalation point or supporting Junior Analysts
• Playbook improvement and reducing false positives

Contract details:

• Up to £600/day
• Inside IR35
• Long-term programme
• South of England
• 12-hour shift rota 7am-7pm/7pm-7am

SC-200 would be particularly useful, alongside MITRE ATT&CK, threat hunting or SOAR experience.
