Kitchen Porter

Job Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Porter, you support our chefs and front of house team to ensure everything operates seamlessly.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Keeping kitchen and food preparation areas clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times.
• Washing crockery, cutlery, glassware, and kitchen equipment to a high standard.
• Assisting with stock control, deliveries, and correct storage of supplies.
• Ensuring waste is managed safely and efficiently.
• Helping maintain beverage stations and supporting front of house when needed.
• Carrying out daily checks and reporting any faults or issues promptly.

About You

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and enjoys being part of a team.

• A positive, polite and friendly attitude.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Level 2 Food Safety (or willingness to work towards).
• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a catering/restaurant setting.
• Customer service or front of house experience.
• Basic IT experience.

The Horder Centre, Crowborough

Contract

Part time, Permanent (15 hours per week)
