Role Overview

As a Junior Data Developer, you'll support the BI team by running contractual and ad-hoc reports, maintaining the data warehouse, and managing user access to BI platforms. You'll serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for data sources and platforms, ensuring data integrity and supporting business efficiencies through improved reporting tools and documentation.

This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills. You'll work closely with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to the BI team
  • Maintain and develop the data warehouse, including scripts, queries, and packages
  • Manage users and licenses on BI platforms and cloud systems
  • Document BI processes and maintain reporting tools
  • Deputise for the Business Analyst during leave or key meetings
  • Develop strategies for improving data integrity, testing, and reporting
  • Write ad-hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure contractual MI reporting obligations are met
  • Collaborate with CSS, Leidos, and other stakeholders
  • Train users on BI platforms and reporting tools
  • Support TL MI activities to enhance customer satisfaction
Required Skills and Experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • SQL script writing proficiency
  • Understanding of cloud-based systems
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills with stakeholders and customers
  • Familiarity with MOD systems and data (preferred)
  • Degree in computing or a related technology field (desirable)
