IT Infrastructure Engineer - Cloud Focus

Location: Flexible within the UK (commutable to London/Billericay preferred)

Hours: Monday - Friday

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer with a cloud focus to join our dynamic, fast paced IT team. You will play a key role in the design, deployment, and management of our cloud infrastructure (primarily Azure), ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to support cloud migration projects, automate processes, and drive innovation across our IT environment.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a constantly changing environment, enjoys variety in their work, and has experience in both managed services and complex IT infrastructures.

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain cloud based infrastructure (Azure) alongside hybrid environments.
  • Support the gradual migration of on premises services to the cloud.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and security.
  • Implement and maintain security measures in line with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to meet business requirements.
  • Lead cloud related infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
  • Maintain up to date documentation for cloud systems and processes.
  • Participate in on call rota for out of hours support.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, AI, and efficiency improvements.
What you will bring
  • 5+ years' experience in IT infrastructure engineering, ideally within an MSP environment.
  • Hands on experience with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server (), Active Directory, DNS, Failover Clustering.
  • Experience with virtualization (Hyper V, VMs) and storage solutions.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles (VPNs, troubleshooting).
  • Experience with technical documentation, patching, and firmware upgrades.

Added Bonus: Experience with enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Rubrik).
