Job Title: IT Business Analyst

Initial Contract Duration: 12 months (possibility of extension)

Workload: 80-100%

Description of the business area and/or project

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst for our Commercial Insurance IT team. You will be working with an existing global pricing tool on on-going maintenance releases, production support, and product improvements.

Overview of the Team

The team consists of a Project Manager, 4x Business Analysts, and a Release Manager based in Zurich plus and a development team of six in Spain.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Elicit, analyze, specify, validate, and document detailed business requirements

Provide expertise and understand as-is and to-be processes as part of requirements elicitation

Document and track ongoing tasks

Identify issues, risks, and benefits of existing and proposed solutions

Conduct insightful, ad-hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues

Participate in development of test plans, testing and implementation

Model business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements

Essential skills and qualifications

Bachelors or master's degree in business, IT, or another analytical subject

Analytical thinking and problem solving and affinity for detail, design, quality, process, and occasional troubleshooting

5+ Years' experience in a similar role

Self-motivated, proactive, and able to show initiative

Positive attitude with ability to adapt in a changing environment

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure

Great communicator with a collaborative mindset

Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Hands on project experience in Agile (Scrum) projects

Ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with teams to solve business challenges

experience in P&C insurance preferred

Fluent in written and spoken English

Track record and support sunset mode
