Job Description
Job Overview 
Interim Payroll Manager - College, Hull, United Kingdom.
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (pro rata). Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm. Start date: 15th July. Contract: Interim (8 weeks initially, with potential for extension).
This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional to provide short term cover within a busy college environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the end to end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Oversee payroll administration, including statutory deductions and pension contributions.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation and payroll best practice.
- Resolve payroll queries from employees promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and produce relevant reports.
- Work closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll information is up to date.
- Previous experience managing payroll, ideally within an education or public sector setting.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and processes.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
- Proof of right to work in the UK.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one prior to starting.
- Competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 (pro rata).
- Standard working hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
