Base Location: Reading, Slough or West London

Salary: £41,583 - £48,296 + car/cash allowance + London Weighting Allowance if based in Slough or West London + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Manager (Maintenance and Inspections) to join our team!

As the Team Manager you will have full responsibility for the delivery of the Inspection programme for the Distribution Network assets including High Risk Site Management and Structural Integrity Reports (SIR's) in your regional area.

You will have responsibility for the safety and welfare of a team of Inspectors, the productivity of this team and the quality of the information gathered.

Roles & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- You will ensure the team have the correct equipment and know how to operate safely as lone workers when covering a large and diverse geographic area.

- Use the IT systems to issue work and monitor the quality of all data gathered as well as authorise timesheets.

- Lead, develop and grow you and the team's knowledge of the risks associated with SSEN's electrical assets and escalate any urgent issues to be addressed immediately.

- Conduct Quality Audits for all activities associated with inspections and record the findings

- Maintain and improve customer relations with landowners, stakeholder and members of the public, including complaint resolutions.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Management experience and a proven track record of delivering successful operations within a similar role/environment.

- Extensive knowledge of the inspection process and Electricity, Safety, Quality and Continuity Regulations (ESQCR)

- You will ideally be educated to a minimum HNC educational qualification in Electrical Engineering with industry experience, or hold an engineering degree working towards Chartered Engineer (or similar professional experience)

- Excellent planning and organisational skills, exceptional communication, interpersonal and engagement skills and the ability to deliver within challenging timescales.

- The ability to effectively prioritise, plan and organise, balance immediate and longer-term business priorities.

Travel is required and as a result we can only accept applications from candidates that hold a current driving licence.
