BioconColors is a leading producer of natural colorants, delivering color solutions to the food, beverage and cosmetic industries worldwide. For our commercial office in Amsterdam, we are looking for an inside sales professional who can contribute to shaping the future of natural colorants.
Job Description
As an inside sales professional at BioconColors, you will be managing relationships with our distribution partners and customers. You are a service-minded individual with a hands-on mentality, working accurately, and comfortable conducting sales via phone and email. Your role will focus on evaluating customer needs, proposing color solutions, and ensuring seamless order fulfillment. You will be working closely with our colleagues from the commercial, R&D, quality control and logistic departments to support BioconColors' growth in the natural colors market.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Actively connect with existing and new customers through remote channels (phone, email, video calls) to build and maintain strong relationships
- Solution-Oriented Sales: Evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate natural color products and solutions for applications.
- Order Management: Follow up on quotations and orders, ensuring accuracy and timely communication with customers.
- Logistic Coordination: Collaborate with logistic colleagues to coordinate planning and prepare necessary transport and export/import documentation, ensuring timely product delivery.
- Post-Sales Support: Provide ongoing support to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Reporting: Track sales performance, provide accurate forecasting, and report to management.
What We Are Looking For
- A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Commerce, Business Administration, Food Science, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in B2B inside sales, account management, preferably in the food ingredients or natural color sector.
- Experience with import/export documentation and logistic coordination
- Knowledge of the food and beverage industry is a strong advantage.
- Excellent command of English (both written and spoken); proficiency in Dutch, German, or Spanish is a significant advantage.
- Strong functional skills in sales process management, customer call management.
- A commercial, curious, and proactive attitude
- Comfortable working in a remote sales environment with strong organizational and communication skills.
